Senior Book Collection – coming on Monday

What is through the curtain and under the red cloth??

Are you sick of looking at books obviously aimed at young teenagers? Had enough of sparkly vampires? Want more from your fiction?

Senior students (Year 10-12), staff and parents will get a chance to influence what books the library buys next week. The library is starting a Senior Collection – books specifically chosen by and for our senior students. From Monday, senior classes will be looking under the red cloth and choosing the books they would like us to buy.

Sometimes you just have to post a picture…

I was looking for something to inspire all of our returning students (why are the holidays only two weeks??!!), and teachers – or just make mention of how ‘wonderful’ (those are sarcastic ‘ ‘), we all feel about returning to all of the “book learnin'” when I stumbled across this truly amazing picture:

Admittedly it doesn’t get quite this cold in Orbost but it is a really lovely picture. Not sure if it helps everyone returning to school but…
